Job Code: Staff Research Associate I/II - RCT

Overview:
The Staff Research Associate I/II will be a participant within cross-functional teams focused on development and commercialization of new in vivo metabolic tests for use in drug development and disease diagnosis. The candidate who fills this position will possess accurate record and data keeping skills, be highly motivated, meticulous; able to carry out complex lab procedures independently; able to clearly communicate results. Responsibilities will include isolation and preparation of samples for analysis by mass spectrometry, clinical site sample tracking, assisting with the development of new methods for sample analysis, and maintenance of lab notebook documentation.

Requirements:
- A BA/BS in biology, chemistry/chemical engineering or equivalent with 0 - 3 years laboratory experience.
- Must be open and willing to learn new techniques in the dynamic and changing environment of a start-up company.

Applicants with the following technical experience will be prioritized:
- Prior hands-on laboratory experience
- Gel electrophoresis
- PCR
- Chromatography experience, including GC, HPLC, and TLC
- SPE and related sample prep techniques
- Lipid analysis including ultracentrifugation, lipid extraction and lipoprotein FPLC
