Acting Vice President, Project Management & Pre-clinical Development

Mr. Glembourtt received his B.S. in Environmental Biology in 1978 at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH and his M.B.A. from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California in 1990. Mr. Glembourtt has held several research and development positions as well as senior and executive management positions in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical industries. Mr. Glembourtt began managing drug development projects for Scios, Inc. in Mountain View, CA. At Syntex Corporation in Palo Alto, CA, he was the Project Manager for CellCept™, helping to take the company’s largest drug development program from Phase 1 through NDA filing in 4 ½ years. Mr. Glembourtt was at Nektar Therapeutics (formerly Inhale Therapeutics) from 1994 through 2006 where he established the drug development and program management organizations, and was then Vice President and General Manager for Nektar’s Pulmonary Insulin Division (Exubera™), a joint development effort with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Glembourtt has extensive experience in building, structuring and managing drug development organizations, and in the integration and coordination of business, regulatory and drug development strategy.
