Corporate Counsel

Jim Burden has forty years of experience in corporate finance, law practice, and business operations. He was an original director and C.O.O of KineMed from 2001 to 2005. As President and majority owner of Dorset Capital, LLC, he has co-founded, financed, and operated a number of companies in the U.S. and in the United Kingdom, including many in the bioscience area. He serves as a director of a number of U.S. companies. He received a B.S. degree from University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and a J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. He did post-J.D. studies at the Graduate School of Law, University of Southern California and is an active member of the State Bar of California.
